Friends Hang Out Night

It started off with my friend fixing my laptop if it’s accessible for public commentary and one doesn’t know how long these fixes take, so they came over to my house for a bit. We basically had some wine and they watched a little t.v. Just relaxing while my IT pro did her thing.

Fun Dinner and Drinks

Next time however, I want to do this hangout thing differently, where I host a bit more. As in provide finger foods, appetizers, for added luxury and entertainment. I find myself having a bit of admiration to having people, and friends around and getting to know each other. Like having conversations, connecting and building a sense of community. It actually didn’t take long for Fe to navigate my site. However, when she checked out my blog later that evening, people have to sign into WordPress, or it appears so, or you’re not able to access my blog. The blog asks you to share it to Facebook and Twitter, if you were to create a Word Press first. Not at all what I expected to hear, and it doesn’t make sense, but if you’re ok with that, then have at it.

Anyhow, after all this laptop functionality setback, we went to get some dinner. All this thinking was getting us hungry. We landed at La Penca Mexican restaurant and had drinks, cocktails with our burritos, Mexican rice and whatnot. I would like to spread the word and have everyone check out my Blog. It has great content with stories, true ones and sometimes shows and events I attend and have questions on and would love input from the public. I welcome constructive criticism and banter. Also, my friend Fe has a business that you might find interesting. She’s a funny lady too, generous. She’s a listener and helpful. Her and her boyfriend Henry. They crack me up, so I like hanging with them. Anyway, Fe sells a lot of good arts of different creativity. Mugs, magnets, clothing like dresses, hats, just to name a few. Her website is mylittlefe.com. In fact, she just had a live sale stand in Livermore this past Valentine’s Day. There was live music, food, lobster and bbq. I hope a lot of people attended and had fun! Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend. No worries, there’s always next time. So, after having cocktails and dinner, we thought perhaps, we can play pool. Henry and Fe thought of this. I figured, sure, I have to brush up on my pool stick expertise, but I’ll bite. When I was younger, though I have no recollection on how young I was, my dad got us kids a pool table in the garage, which was converted into a bedroom. That’s when I learned to play and it was a lot of fun. So here’s my chance to screw it up. Haha! No, we had fun. So, I hope in the future, you all can check out her shop. It’s a cute and positive, fun store to browse around and buy!! It won’t disappoint!

Pool Time

That Saturday, we ventured onto Benton’s in Alameda. It’s funny, I’ve lived here on the island for over twenty years and have never gone to Benton’s bar. It was not so far either, but it was a little isolated on Encinal Ave., so I can see why I’ve never been. They ordered more drinks, while I laid low. We played pool against each other. It was a different type of pool game, so it made it more fun, but I definitely need to polish up my game. We played three rounds. Haha! The night ended well, I was tired and my friends dropped me off. Stay tuned until next hang out. Thanks Fe and Henry!!

Ok friends, what about you? what other activities do you come up with when you hang out with friends? Do you hang out with friends that make you feel safe? That lift you up when times are rough? How do they encourage you to do better?
